This series documents the investment activities of the Teachers' Retirement System by providing complete information on all types of investments and returns on those investments. This series may contain the following: worksheets; authorizations to acquire investments; checklists; securities purchased or sold; confirmation reports; stock purchase directives; surveys of properties; mortgages; notes (paid in full); financial ledgers; and related correspondence. Ledgers show the types and amounts of investments. Recapitulation of investment forms show the number of stocks held by the system. Records of property mortgages held show the names of mortgagees, addresses and photographs of the property, property insurance purchased, and related correspondence. Directives from the system's finance committee are orders to stock brokers instructing them to buy or sell specific stocks or bonds.
